Hiller Park

Hiller Park is Biloxi’s best kept secret.  The park, founded in 1967, is part of the Naval Reserve.   The park is named for Eugene A. Hiller, who held the position of manager of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical center from 1934 to1968.  The park can be used for recreational or a restful retreat.  It  offers picnic areas, a walking trail, basketball, tennis, and frisbee golf courts, a fish pond, a dog park, water fountains, and a rental pavilion.  And, through it all runs Bayou La Porte, a tidal marsh habitat that empties into the Bay of Biloxi.  On the bay side is a small sandy beach and several boat ramps.

Go back to Veterans Avenue and to Highway 90.  Turn right (west) onto Highway 90 and travel  four tenths of a mile to the entrance of Beauvoir.
